Description
Gingerol is a pungent constituent of ginger, found in the rhizome of Zingiber officinale. Together with its dehydrated counterpart, shogaol, they represent some of the more bioactive compounds of ginger1. Gingerol is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiplatelet, and antibacterial activities2,3,.
