Ginsenosides

Ginsenosides, a chemical family deriving from Panax ginseng, is one of the most universally used herbal medicines in Asian and Western countries [1]. The majority of biological activities of ginseng are derived from ginsenosides and their chemical relatives. Ancient use of ginseng and numerous modern studies strongly indicate a correlation between ginsenosides and ginsenoside derivatives as a potent agent in protection against inflammatory diseases and negative affects [1]. Additionally, studies are focusing on potential correlations between ginsenosides and minimized cardiovascular issues, including hypertension, cardiac disease, hyperlipidemia, oxidative stress [3]. While ginsenoside’s benefits are not usually as readily available when administered orally, some researchers believe that ginsenosides have the potential to be used to lessen unpleasant side affects of steroid use in the human health field [4]. Ginsenoside Rg1: one of the best-known ginsenosides, a wide range of beneficial effects such as blood vessel development, neuroprotection, and stem cell proliferation have been reported through research [5]. - Ginsenoside Rg3: a vibrant biologically active compound of Korean red ginseng, studies have linked to the reduction of proliferative and excess tissue of women suffering from endometriosis [6].
